Debug Panel
The debug panel is the on-player ImGui tool for local try-out, site commissioning, and copying equivalent network commands. It is not the Web Console.
Window title: DearScenario Player debug panel.
Open and close
| Platform | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Windows / Linux | F1, F9, or F12 |
| macOS | Cmd+Shift+D (function keys are often intercepted by the system) |
Esc or the same shortcut closes the panel when it is focused. See Keyboard Shortcuts.
In ordinary production startup, the panel is hidden. Launch the player with
--maintenance as described in Maintenance mode and production.
The process still requires a valid control network
for remote maintenance access.
Tab map
| Tab | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | Node identity, playback state, HTTP/OSC listeners, Web Console QR |
| Playback | Load / play / seek / volume / loop; copy equivalent HTTP or OSC |
| Overlay | Compose overlay_set, try it locally, copy HTTP for the controller |
| Settings | Idle background, control network, config.json save / restart / backup |
| Tools | Calibration, mask editor, and audio diagnostics |
| Help & Support | Version, quick start, diagnostic ZIP, copy the community forum URL |
Overlay is for trying an extension command locally and copying it; overlays do not persist across restart.
Copy-as workflow
Most action buttons with a drop-down arrow can copy the equivalent network command:
- Try the action locally in the panel.
- Open the arrow menu → Copy as…
- Choose HTTP or OSC (only transports allowed for that command are enabled).
- Paste into Companion, Node-RED, QLab, or your show controller.
This is the fastest way to learn the command catalog without writing envelopes by hand.
Tools shortcuts
