Exhibition Kiosk

A single-screen kiosk that boots automatically, waits for commands, can show a branded idle image, and accepts remote play_media / load.

Putting files in control.media_root does not start playback. The controller must send an absolute command after boot, or this launch must pass --open-file.

Setup checklist

• Formal entry is running (not --maintenance) unless you are servicing the unit.

• Fullscreen and borderless enabled, correct display selected.

• Media files are on disk under media_root or an absolute path the controller will send.

• Idle screen image exists if you want a branded wait state; otherwise the idle is black.

• Watchdog or startup task is active.

• Remote commands work over HTTP / OSC.
